Pregabalin 75 mg, mecobalamin 750 mcg, α-lipoic acid 100 mg
Indications/Uses
Anticonvulsant. Epileptic seizures (antiepilepticus).
Dosage/Direction for Use
150-600 mg/day in 2 or 3 divided doses. Neuropathic pain Initially 150 mg/day as 2 or 3 divided doses, may be increased to 300 mg/day after 3-7 days interval, if needed. Max: 600 mg/day after additional 7-day interval.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Discontinue immediately if symptoms of angioedema eg, facial, perioral or upper airway swelling occur. Galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Renal impairment, diabetes; CHF. Monitor for signs of suicidal ideation & behaviours. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Adolescent 12-17 yr. Childn <12 yr. Elderly >65 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, somnolence, increased appetite & wt, euphoria, irritability, decreased libido, disorientation, insomnia, ataxia, abnormal coordination, balance disorder, amnesia, tremor, dysarthria, memory impairment, attention disturbance, paraesthesia, sedation, lethargy, blurred vision, diplopia, vertigo; vomiting, dry mouth, constipation, flatulence, abdominal distension, erectile dysfunction, abnormal gait, drunk feeling, fatigue, peripheral oedema, abnormal feeling.
Drug Interactions
Pregabalin: May potentiate the effects of ethanol & lorazepam. Additive effects in the impairment of cognitive & gross motor function w/ oxycodone. Resp failure & coma w/ other CNS depressants. Reduce lower GI tract function w/ opioid analgesic.
